As far as friction calls goI would think that custom calls would be superior, due to the time and effort puy into each call for tuning, but this is only my opinion and i am really a diaphram user. As far as diaphram mouth calls go, I found that custom calls or ones made by me for myself are alot more consistant. I got to find that buying calls that I liked seem to vary so much I might buy 5 calls of the same kind before I got the sound I had with the prior call of the same make.
