Default RE: The Antelope Rut

What you want to do is when decoying them,do it when you are covered behind a small hill.Like make the decoy silouet and stay behind it so the buck has to come up to you.Another thing is if you know were the antelope are at,try getting there befor day light and when the antelope come in put the decoy up.I like to do this when you have a herd thats frequnting a field,I set the dec up about 10 yds off a fence line or power line. The other way you can hunt them is get on a fence where antelope have crossed under, set up behind the nearest fence post, then send a hunting buddy on a spot and stalk, when the antelope get spooked they will normaly run down the fence to their crossing, this is a perfect way to ambush them.

I have a large herd right by my house they are there 7-days a week,365 days of the year.I plan on taking the buck in this herd this fall,by setting up a decoy just off of their crossing routes, when they pass by at 30 yds,I'm sending a GT arrow at him.

Good luck.
