Calling Question
this is my second year into turkey hunting so everything is new to me...my question is about calling..... season opens march 15 here and last sunday, the 6th, a friend of mine said that we should go listen to the woods, so we went to the spot where i killed a bird before and constantly saw birds during deer season.... after sunrise we didn't hear any birds gobble coming off of the roost but we saw 3 gobblers within an hour come through the same area and yet they never gobbled and we never heard a hen... is it too early in the season for the birds to be "ready" for me to call to them or should i just wait it out and let the birds come to me like they did when i was scouting?
