My main beef with hunting videos is that they are mostly voyarism. I enjoy a good video and like seeing big bucks that I have little chance of seeing in real life where I hunt. But they have just become voyaristic in nature and there is no real educational content. You get the typical "get out during the rut, keep the wind in your face, wear our camo, use our product" but few substitive facts and strategies. Rarely do the situations relate to most people's hunting experiences. How many of you are looking across an alfalfa field on the Milk River full of 20 shooter bucks? How many hunt population controlled ranches? Show me some guys hunting public land and have them show me maps and arial shots and explain why they chose the spot they chose and how they planned their approach. A lot of fluff and big racks but little substance.
