i've never had a stupid moment... I'M PERFECT! lol ok not really but its nice to dream

i have a few:

first one i was at the scene of a fully involved structure fire and had to go interior... i went to jump through the door (which i thought was open) and BAM knocked myself out cold lol
MORAL NUMBER ONE: don't rush in or you'll get a headache

second was we had just extingushed a car fire... now usually the metal is still pretty hot after that lmao.... but on this particular day i forgot about that... lifted up the hood of the car to disconnect that battery so it didn't restart a fire and tried to cut the cable with a knife but it wasn't working, so i took off my gloves so i could get a better grip and YOW!!!!! HOT!!!!! lol... 2nd degree burns on both hands
MORAL NUMBER TWO: don't grab it while its hot, you'll get burned

theres so much more lol but i think i've let you laugh enough at my expense lol
Now why does this sound like something a kid would do?

I was on my way to the woods to hunt squirrels. I was passing between two gas stations when I saw a 3 care pile up. There was a guy standing in the middle of the road in black, at 5 am. I almost hit him. Being trained in CPR and first aid, I decided to stop. It didn't look like they needed any help, so I went in the gas station to get a doughnut. I came out and waited for the ambulance to pull up. I left the scene and went hunting.

I was on my way back and I saw the glass from the scene. I thought to myself, "How in the heck do you get in a crash in a 45 mph zone?" I looked up and a white SUV was pulling in the gas station. I slammed on my brakes and slid sideways. I avoided the crash, thank God.

Here is another one:

I was on my way to another squirrel hunt. It was poring down rain. In order to get to my land I have to cross a dirt path over a ditch. We put a culvert in the ditch and put dirt over the culvert. I was turning into my land going 5 mph when I hit the dirt. I slammed on my brakes, but I couldn't stop. I kept going and my front left tire was in mid-air. I put it in reverse and backed up. That was a close one.

Moral of the stories: Keep your eyes on the road.
