By the way, Bob, I won't shoot at birds past 40 yards either. Extended range wasn't my reasoning for adding a scope, I'm used to using a scope to shoot at stationary targets, I also like the positive aiming point. I actually had some fiber optic sights on my gun but had trouble concentrating on lining them up while focusing on the bird. Guess it's just a matter of personal preference.
