I've hunted there for the last 7 years and I own land near Lowell. It would not be my first choice for whitetails. The vegetation is very, very thick and October and November see much rain making it a sort of 40-50 degree rainforest that is not fun to hunt. There is almost no way to hunt this area for whitetails because it is so thick. I would suggest looking at some other areas around McCall.
