RE: shooting open c in ASA
Hey AR34, I dont think yoy should let anyone else decide what class you shoot. Me personal opinion is I dont care how many names a guy has on his shirt. I have had a few offers to be on someones advisory staff. But they always wanted to require me to got to several shoots and bow clinics and all they wanted to give me was two bows at half retail price. I think I would save money just buying what I shoot the best and going to the shoots I chose to attend. I have found out that you can make phone calls and write all the letters you want. To try to get sponcers, but if you win they will be calling you. I shot the HC for two years and I shot with a lot of ""staff shooter types"". Sometimes they shot better than me sometimes they didnt. All that stuff on their shirts never affected me. After 2 years in HC I moved to MBR. I got smoked in MBR I moved to that class for a reason other than myself. I let someone else influence what class I shot in and I didnt have the confidence I needed to shoot my best. I went back to HC in 2004. I had fun and shot well but didnt win anything on the national level. I shoot up in HC most of the time so I feel it is time for me to go to MBR again in 2005. But I am doing it for me not because someone else thinks I should. You have to make your own decisons based on your skills not on the names on your shirts. Most people are happy for a guy that gets sponcered and it dosent bother them to shoot with them. I dont know you and Iam not saying that you do this but a guy that tells every shooter in the group how many sponcers they have after every shot tends to get on other peoples nerves. My personal opinion is that 1 World Championship or a National Championship belt buckle is worth more than any amount of shirts with names on them.
