I to would recommend the NEF Sidekick over the New Frontier Bear Magnum. I have a Sidekick and I really like it a lot. Its been very accurate at the range for me and I like the whole setup including the trigger on the gun. The one thing I don't like about the Sidekick is the ram rod that comes with the gun. You should read some of the reviews Randy Wakeman does at Chuckhawks along with many of the other articles he writes. He is very respected in the Blackpowder community. Also, if I am not mistaken from what I have read the trigger pull on a lot of the Bear Magnums is terrible. They also have the "BPI barrell issue" for you to contended with.
