Joe, Good question. And to be truthful I know not of what I speak. I was just using the word "delaminate" mimicking what I've read others on this forum use to describe the limb "splintering" as I see it.
A cracked limb, in my experience, runs the full depth of the limb. The flaw on my Pat is on the exterior surface running along the edge. (just like the pictures I've seen others post with the same problem)
