RE: 10 gauge or 3.5 12 gauge
I've hunted with a 3 1/2" 12 ga for years and going to try a new BPS 10 ga this year, I like to call then in close and and make jelly out of their head, but if they don't cooperate I can still take one at 50+ yards, and sometimes if not most of the times those hang-ups are a little more challenging than one that comes running in on top of you. The more fire power I carry while turkey hunting the better I like it. I mean if it was just the challenge I was after I would grab my loin cloth and spear, but I kind of like that fried turkey breast also.
