RE: Easton Axis, Who here use them?
Ausie-guy, that is very generous and I thank you for it, but my draw length is 30" the shortest arrow I can shot is 29" if you had any that long, or longer I would take you up on your offer. Again I thank you for it, they say bowhunters are a tight knit group and I agree 100% and your kind ack proves it. I have never seen a anyone other than family offer to give away free ammo to try. Anyway I would like to buy and try them, but at the same time I don't trust them because of the reviews. I agree with Orions_Bow, that in all honesty the percentage of people that don't like them is a lot lower than 50%. But out of the people who I have talked to, (which is very few compared to all the archers using them) it is around 50%. Now I do like Easton Products, and have shot their aluminum arrows for years with good success. But like I said before I have to trust my equipment 100%, the last thing I need to worry about when hunting is that my equiment doesn't fail me. Now with this said I have a lot of time to change my mind before next season starts. After all I don't even have my bow yet, its on order but Mathews hasn't shiped any new left hand switchback's yet. So who knows, if someone will let me buy 3 arrows I would be willing to give them a trial. I also want to try the Gold Tips, I have heard a lot of good reviews about them as well. And on the plus side the gold tips only cost $45 to $60 a dozen when the Axis cost $100 to$110 a dozen. Also nobody had mentioned about the Beman Black Max they too cost around $100 a dozen. But they are suppose to be even better than the Axis, or so I have heard.
