This gives you right at 6 grains per # of draw weight. IBO "minimum" states 5 grains per # of draw weight minimum recommended to prevent damage to the bow. Some guys like to fling hunting arrows at this minimum, some like them heavier. If you are choosing the proper broadheads, are getting good flight and take good shots, you should have no problem with your arrows for hunting whitetails on down.

For some good discussion, I recommend you do a search here with key words like "kinetic energy" and "momentum". That should give you a good understanding of the issues at play, and save Art a whole bunch of typing...
