A great deal depends on each individuals setup and the broadhead used. If your shooting a low end setup pushing say 45 ft/lbs of ke and try to shoot a 2" head your begging for trouble. On the other hand if your setup is throwing out somthing like 80 ft/lbs of Ke then you should be able to drive most any resonable head through deer size game. The key is to match your setup with the broadhead that will work best with it. The more KE you have the wider range of broadheads you have to pick from. bow tune is also very important. I can't give you a cut and dry answer as their are so many variables but keep your equipment "balanced" and you won't have any problems.
