if I shoot a 200 Gr. bullet at around 3200 to 3250 f/s which is still fast for a 200 gr. bullet will that burn out a barrel just as quick as a 180 at 3400 f/s
Pressure and heat determine the rate of throat erosion and the pressures would be the same with maximum loads.The 200 gr would burn slightly less powder but it would be in the barrel slightly longer so I doubt that there would be much difference if any.
