RE: .223 or .22-250 for yotes??
I have shot coyotes with both the .223 and the .22/250 and of the two I prefer to shoot them using a .243
I use the 55 grain Ballistic tips flying just over 4000 fps with quite devastating effect. The 243 is a very versatile caliber and can be used for many purposes. The recoil is minimal when using a varmint weight rifle and you can watch bullet impact through the scope. The accuracy I am getting out of my Remington and factory loads is a one ragged hole group at 100 yards and this is as much as one can ask for, IMO.
