Default RE: problem with musket caps?

i definatley pushed the cap all the way down . i just bought the cci-s but i had another brand before this and it would do it with those also but not as often. i also found myself sqeezing the caps slightly before putting it on the nipple so it would de-form the cap to allow it to fit snug. if i didnt do this the cap would be a little loose for me. i tried changing the nipple too. im wondering how many pounds of pressure is needed to set a cap off. i wont have a chance to test the no.11 caps any time soon so i will probably send it out. i also noticed the back of the barrel where the barrel hooks into the action and contacts the rear trigger housing has a gap to it that looks a little much. my brothers grey hawk is tight with metal almost touching metal so maybe i have an alignment problem too. its been a weird year for my muzzleoader. i also had a problem with the rear site that i figured out by luck. it seems the rear site on a new englander has a large flat head adjustment screw with the site adjustment height on spring tension. when i would walk with it to my stand i would rest the gun on my shoulder right where the rear site is. this would put enough pressure to push the whole site and spring in on it so the screw would float and turn on its own. during the hunting season i test fired the gun and it was way off. i had to take it apart clean it and use red loc-tite on it so now the screw wont turn without a screwdriver or a penny.
