Default PAPER TUNNING

In the past I have always tried to get my bow to shoot a slightly hi left tear through paper. I was always told that this is better for a right hander. Because it gets your arrow up and away from the rest and it gives you more room for error on a less than perfect shot. I shoot a drop away rest now. Should I try to get a bullet hole through paper now? Has anyone had any experince with this?
