RE: How many of you can last all day....
My first post in this forum
A few years ago my wife bought me a grand slam climber with the hammock seat and , when I complained that the wind was getting to me she got some real tree type fabric and cut out attachable velcro sides for it.....
I LOVE this thing, I have never been in such a comfortable quiet stand it was the single biggest factor in allowing me to stay on stand all day. I strap in just in case but it would be damn near impossible to fall out even when i fall asleep (which by the way I have never been able to do in my usual seat + platform.
I hunt hard in the morning until about 11:00 am and then break and start hunting hard again at about 12:30 1 until dark , during my break I get up stretch my legs, check my gear etc...
I found a cool little device in Canada called a digital book, you can get software that contains a few book and you just click through the screens to read...you can bookmark your place or blow up the text if you have bad eyesight...totally quiet too
I also like lots of others have said make sure I take extra clothes , food, water and something to pee in....
I recently started hunting huge tracks of public land so I got a GPS and things I may need if I wound up getting stuck or hurt and cant get out..
comfort.safety and confidence, thats what you need to be out there all day
