RE: He missed it!!!
Okay, JMO, BHF, but um... I guess you are skimming my posts or something. As I stated before, this is FAR from a lazy man who just sits on his porch or by his woodburner in his laZboy waiting for some chance buck to walk by. He spends most of his free time in the woods, he has 4 blinds in 40 acres, he bow hunts as well, doesn't just use a gun. Does that give him any credit? I am getting the opinion you just don't respect gun hunters period, whether they take a shot in a marshy swamp at 100 yards or off their porch at 70.
He sits in his stand day in and day out, his wife works all day and into early evening, so as a retired man, he has nothing better do (IS there anything better than hunting??), he spends all day in his stand, and to be honest, IMO, it doesn't pay off as well as it should considering in the 14 years he has lived there between him and his wife, they have only harvested 4 deer. The deer come up into his yard because of his garden and his pumpkin patch. In that case, I'd have a couple of good reasons for shooting at the thing, first of all, it is a LARGE deer, probably 180 anyway, secondly, it has a rack on it like Pamela Anderson (Okay, sorry, I was trying to shed some humor in here), and THIRDLY, it's eating the food I have grown for canning and whatnot... HELL YEAH, shoot the sucker (or in his case, shoot AT the sucker)... it sucks that he didn't get it, it would have been quite the trophy for him since he has been hunting since he was 13 and the largest buck he has gotten is a 5 pointer which was NOT very sizeable. He deserves a buck like that.
Where he lives in Michigan, there are just NOT that many deer of that caliber, the avg. life expectancy of a deer is 1.5 years, so seeing something like that is rare!
I'm not sure what your "thing" is there Fool (not calling you names, you named YOURSELF that one...), but is this where I should bow down and shine your AlphaBurly's?
