RE: RATE MY BOWS and suggestions on blades?
Both the Golden Eagle and the Pearson are decent bow's considering thier age ,but a 2 blade will probably give you more penetration and is definetly not inferior to the 3 blade ,so I would go with the 2 blade for your setup. As for if you don't hit your mark and hit the shoulder blade it could be the very same result even with a newer bow ,although most newer bow's do shoot substantially faster but I don't think in most case's that it would make a whole lot of difference hitting this area .But there is no reason that you couldn't harvest a deer with these bow's ,I just wouldn't take any long shot's with them. The only thing about these bow's is that maybe the limb's could be a little soft and string's could be wore .But if you took it to a bow shop you just might be able to get some extra KE out of them with new string's and some minor tweeking .
