I don't really see a point in the .223 WSSM. Not much to gain considering the rifle is only 1/2" shorter than the .223 Rem. version, and weighs maybe 4 oz less, and only has three factory loads available, plus there is the limit in magazine capacity, where the Rem has a mag cap of 4, the WSSS is only 2. I would get it chambered in .22-250 and call it good. Also, I don't know about the .22 cals for deer either. Maybe with a good handload of a Barnes X or Nosler Partition.
