I would say try and do both. I don't know your situation too well but unless you are on a grade based scholarship your grades aren't super important. What I mean is that if hunting brings your GPA from a 3.5 to a 3.0 one semester it really doesn't matter. All through college I would make something up and tell the intructor that I would need to miss a bunch of time and they usually were willing to work with me as long as I planned it far enough in advance. I got a C in biology one year because I had to miss an important project due to hunting and the instructor wouldn't let me make it up. Oh well that C didn't effect a thing. But I think you'll be glad you didn't put it off.
