I wouldn't mind a girlfriend that hunted... er... um...

Okay, what I meant to say is, Shane and I enjoy our time together in the woods too. It is awesome to be there to experience each other's hunting. We sit in the same stand and take turns, because this is only my second year, Shane has let me shoot both of the deer that came in (bucks), last year, and this year, but he says next year it is every [wo]man for himself! When someone you love has a successful hunt, it's just as exciting as if it were yourself!

I can see where some men are coming from, saying that they want some time to themselves, that shouldn't be a problem though... put one stand on one side of the woods and the other on the other side, then you are hunting together, but you still have your "alone" time... just meet at the end of the hunt and that will be that. Shane and I have done and do both, sometimes we sit together, sometimes we sit in different stands. As for doing the "guy" thing, there are still times he goes out with his best friend and I stay home with the kids, I don't feel the need to be a constant shadow! If I had a girlfriend that hunted, I'd take her with me and hunt with her and do "tomboy" stuff
