Congrats on the trustworthy 35. It is a fine whitetail gun. What model did you get? As for scope mounts check out Cabelas and the Express Sight Systems "Scout Mount" This mounts a long eye relief scope ( pistol scope) forward of the receiver. It balences the gun out very nice and keeps it fast handling. I just installed one on the 336D, that is the Marlin 35 cal guide gun (the baby of the family) Dont forget that round nose or flat loaded in the tube magazine. Pointed bullets could be hazardous to your mush.
