I would also go with the go ahead and hunt anytime thing only if you can't get ahold of him. Out of common courtesy and respect to him..I'd try and get in contact with him. Like someone said, one weekend of going out without him knowing you were going could ruin your chances of hunting it forever just because he didn't know about it. We all know hunting land is at a premium.
