I pick my trees according to cover. If theres ample leaves/limbs/background, I'm fine at 15'. If theres a better spot at 25', I'm right there baby. I killed my best deer at 12', stuck on a side of a HUGE sycamore tree, no cover at all - I stood out like a sore thumb, but there was literally no where else to put a stand. It worked
