My hunting partner and I have always hung our stands much lower than those posted above. I like the flater shooting afforded by a 10-12 foot high stand. You do have to be carefull about movement but I don't think I can get high enough to avoid that and still maintain optimum shooting angle. I have taken sereral deer at eye level. I just prefer shooting at the side of a deer as opposed to down on the top of the back. Stand height like alot of bow hunting is a matter of personal preference.
