I am just curious,I don't hunt with a shotgun and slugs but have used one with buckshot dog hunting.
Have you fellows that use the special slug barrels tried just using the rifled choke tube and what kind of results did you have compared to the slug barrel.
When I bought my 870 i got 3 chokes with it,a rifled choke, mod and a turkey choke.
I put a scope on it for turkey hunting and when I was zeroing it in I just had to try the rifle choke out I had no idea that it would shoot so good,at 50 yds I put 3 slugs in the same hole,but I didn't get to try it out at a farther distance so I am just curious,I dought if I ever use one deer hunting.
