Thanks, I was kind of skeptical about Ruger's accuracy from some of the reviews that I read. Once I got my leupold on the mark the rifle is shooting great, and I'm just shooting out of the back of my truck. Ruger Redhawk, that was a fine little buck you got. I unfortunately lost a deer last year that I shot late in the evening with buckshot, but now I have a couple of beagles that love to run deer so I will have a little help if a trail dog is needed. Most of my friends who use the 06 say they haven't had a deer run off when hit in the vitals. I'm happy I chose the ruger so far, kind of wish I got the .270 but the 06 will do anything I can put it up to. Later good luck
