Way to go ruger redhawk. Im ready to get one my self. I have to wait till thanksgiving day to bust out my rifle but Ive been shootin it . This bowseason has been mosquito filled and hot.
Good Luck Borty, One thing about it if you don't get one you can't blame the rifle.I shot a third one and watched it drop.I sat in my stand for a few minutes before coming down. While I was up there I saw movement 30 yards from where I dropped it.All excite forgot I had my binoculars and kept watching.I marked where the movement was.I went where I shot it. I looked for 3 hours and never found that deer. It was some thick stuff perfect Rattlesnake country.I covered allot of area on the 4 wheeler.I never found blood but I know I hit him.As soon as I squeezed the trigger he dropped. As thick as it was I could have gone by it several times and never caught a glimps of it.My Ruger 7mm RM likes the Rem Core Lokts 150 grain. I tried Federal Premium Ballistic Tips. It hated them. It wouldn't group any better then 3"-3.5" .I've had good luck with CoreLokts. I'm sure there is a better bullet which I hope to use one day.I would like to find a Ballatic tip my Ruger will digest.
