That is the exact rifle I picked as well. They are great looking and the weather resistance is a huge plus. I went with the 270 simply because I have a 30-06 already and wanted to try something different. Some say the Rugers lack accuracy out of the box, but other than my mini 14 I have not know that to be the case and it sounds like you haven’t either. Good luck and get you a big one.
