Bort I only have one question... if you hunt in north Fla and I assume southern AL then why would you need a rifle for "the snow"??? lmao, just funnin whichya.

In all seriousness the rifle is great, my only complaint with Ruger 77s is the trigger. Other than that they are GREAT rifles and will serve you for years. Personally I would go with something other than a ol Core Lokt but thats your choice.
