RE: Ruger 77 mk11 .30-06 opinions?
Sounds like a nice rifle. I use a MK II 308 Winchester and it has proven it's self as a very deadly deer rifle. I'm sure your rifle will be just fine for your needs, but of course I'm partial to the 308 round, which I've had much success and numerous quick clean kills of northern Michigan deer. If your shooting longer ditances the 06 should be a nice round. Most of my deer have been shot within 75 yards and I've found the 308 round to have plenty of power. I've heard the deer down your way aren't quite as large as the ones up north, but have no real knowledge of it. I would second the trigger work if you find it rough or with to much creep. I wound't hesitate to purchae another Ruger in the future.
