I just recently bought the ruger 77 in .30-06 in the all weather stainless. It was a tough decisison on which caliber to get and walnut stock or synthetic. I am going to be hunting whitetails in north florida and alabama on food plots, pines, and some in hardwoods. I got the 150 core lokt psp. Anyone have an opinion about this rifle? I basically got it to use in the rain and light snow to keep my other rifle in good shape. I don't plan on having any work done it has shot tight groups at 100 yds plus.

I also have a browning abolt micro medalion in 7mm-08, I haven't gotten to use it much but it shoots great at the range.
