Last year I watched an 8 pt buck come into about 60 yards and couldn't get him closer so I hit the can call and he ignored it. About 3 or 4 days later I saw the exact same buck and he was over on the edge of the woods so I hit the can call again. This time he turned and came straight toward me and walked in to about 25 yards. Timing plays a big role which is the same as grunting and rattling.
