I think you are misunderstanding bigcountry's point. A serious hunter knows where his rifle shoots and any distance he is comfortable taking a shot. This knowledge does not come from ballistic tables, it comes from hundreds of rounds downrange at the given distances in question. The 710 has a pressed in barrel, not a threaded barrel. I am anxious to see just how long the thing stays pressed in after extensive shooting. I had a 22 revolver with a pressed in barrel once and the thing actually shot loose.
