Default RE: Martin take down recurve?

i bought a martin x-200. supposedly a decent bow, im a newb so I can't evaluate it the way others here can, but i have had no problems. And I am not very bright when it comes to things like this. both the bow and i have survived, wihtout twists in either of us.
I think though, as i get into this i would rather shoot a longbow. Gonna wait and see how well i do with traditional archery, but if things go as they have been I will likely try to get a nicer, probably check-mate, longbow. i understand the crusader is a good one.
But i have had an incredible amount of fun with my martin recurve, and if i decide to go to shoots i won't be embarrassed about whatever bow i used. Though i might be embarrased about how i shoot.
