Hornady's marketing of the Go/No-Go set must be in answer to loading complaints. But heck, it would be cheaper to buy a bag of 2 or 3 different brand of sabots to try - but to each his own.

But Mike, you're right.................there really ISN'T a standard for muzzleloading barrels. The Green Mountain barrel on my Knight measures .500" between the lands and .504" between the grooves. Funny thing, those SST's are very TIGHT in my bore, and yet the gauge set would say all is well.......................I guess it's ok as long as it isn't THEM that are giving themselves hernias trying to load the gun. [:@] But, the 300gr SSTs do shoot REALLY well out of theat rifle.
