its still like that in some areas cardeer. When i was in highschool me and my buds were out hunting usually every school morning for as long as it took. Come in to class late and a buck in the back of the pickup in the parking lot. Class would get delayed so we could all go outside and have a look at the daily kill. Lots of farmers here are scrambling each year to get guys in to kill off the elk and deer. Can't go down main street in town without somebody flagging you down to look at the animal. Within 6 hours the story is all around town and has usually grown 20 points by then. I see your point though how these things seem to be dwindling, but we are still old school here !!!!!!!!!!!
