Default RE: Is the bear population rising in pennsylvania???

Well where I hunt in northwestern NJ I always see bears, but this year so far I've seen 4, my friends saw 2 each. Also my buddy has a house in Pike Co, PA about 15 mins from where we hunt in a lake community, deer allover the place. When he brought his house there, he asked me if I think that bears would be in this development, I said YES.....The security guard said NO, last bear seen in there was 20yrs ago. Guess what? They have seen so far this year in the development 7 bears, and if my home state of NJ doesn't allow a bear hunt this year, you can bet PA will have more bears along the border with NJ!!!!!!!
