No mountains here but we have lots of bush. For deer hunting I prefer to hunt the forest fringe areas this is an area that has large lots of bush but argiculture or hay lands around it. I do hunt farmland as well but find this type of hunting not quite as desireable as the common way to hunt this for many is sitting on a truck seat cushion. I much prefer heading out on foot and getting deep into their transition areas creating my own opportunities vs just happening along a deer feeding or moving. When I hunt in the farmland I still hoof it but the choices are somewhat narrowed vs the fringe areas. Niether area do I sit on big open food sources instead I hunt the transition areas between bed and food.

Hunting deer in the forest is ok dependant on the area, less choice but still the solitude suit me AOK.
