farmland vs. mountains: which would you rather hunt???
my grandparents own a farm in western pennsylvania. it has a combination of some swamp land, small woodlands, rolling fields, streams, a river and even a lake. but believe it or not, i always found deer hunting on the farm rather boaring. we always hunted in what i call tree shacks. i never really enjoyed watching the huge fields for hours upon hours. i moved to the mountains in northern pa and i find hunting this type of terrain a heck of a lot more exciting and a lot more challenging. i guess what i'm trying to say is i can still go to the old homestead and hunt anytime i want to, but i would rather hunt in the mountains where there are hardly any farms. what do you guys prefer??
