Yes, they work well!!! You sight them in on the groun first then shoot at approx. 15ft up and adjust from there. I think Savage is good but I hunt with a Preditor IV it is a little more trouble to set up but I think you will like it! It is quiet, bright and I can get out to 35+ yards shooting 268fps. Having one pin accurate from 0-35 yards is a big plus in a tree hunting situation.
