Default RE: Pendulum sight question

I've used a Savage Pendulum Max for the past 3 season with good success. They work best for shots from a tree to level ground, as you need to stay within their parameters of 10-30' up a tree to 0-30ish yards out for them to work accurately. Shots in uneven terrain must be calculated to make sure they are within this zone for optimum results.

Savage recommends sighting their site in at ground level of 20 yards. However, this is a general recommendation which needs to be fine tuned depending on arrow speed. Mine is set at 25 yards. On level ground, that gives me a one pin set up out to 30ish yards, the farthest I'd shoot anyway.

From a tree, when set I get from 0-33ish yards, just aim, hold and release, no thinking about distance. The Savage is quiet, accurate and does what I want it to do, and I've been very happy with it.
