RE: How long do you wait after been busted?
Just the other day I was hunting on the ground, just inside some trees along a cut corn field. I knew there would be deer walking the corn edges and the wind was in my favor.
I was busted by a doe on visual - turned out I had nothing behind me to break up my outline so even though I didn't move, didn't smell, and didn't make a sound, she saw me and when she left she took 4 of her closest friends with her.
I moved 20 feet to a better spot - and within 3 minutes another group of deer were headed my way along the same trail.
Moral of the story - there's plenty of deer in the woods! Try not to educate them too often, but don't worry about 1 doe busting you. She was there for a reason so chances are others will be too - just correct your mistake (or in Deer902s case - your brothers mistake) and have confidence.
