Default RE: Heads up Kansans, Head of KDWP pushing economics

Welcome to Illinois, guys.

We do have alot of the same probs. but we do have a cap on NR permits, but who knows for how long. Outfitters are an epidemic here, and finding(more importantly KEEPING) hunting land has become a struggle.

Regardless of what some people(non hunters) think, unlimited NR tags and increasing land for outfitters does not inprove the economy.

When you think of the % of people across the nation that are hunters, then the percent of those that would travel to Kansas, how much money do they think this will bring in? Can anyone name a state that can prove that NR hunting ALONE has improved the state economy a substantial ammount? NR hunting has been a real issue in the past few years here in IL, and things are not looking good for us. I have never gone out of state to hunt deer, and since I know how I feel about NR's, I probably wont travel for a deer hunt.

Crap, you are right, ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN.
