Default RE: 24" barrel

I just had a "Poly Choke" cut off of a 31 inch barrel down to 22" and a choke tube installed for my Ithica 37. A new barrel lists at about $220.00. The whole job cost me $75.00. I like a short barrel for some of the places that I hunt. I might be in some pretty thick stuff and need to swing around a little. Also, it makes it easier to move through the brush. So far I haven't noticed any loss of pattern with a short barrel, but a careful aim is a little more critical.

Hope it works out for you.
