The Encore is amoung the best interchangable barrel firearm you can buy. The quality is pretty darn good and TC offers very good service and a good selection of barrels. The Tc custom shop can deliever about any caliber you have ever heard of and maybe some you have not. They are not real cheap as the barrels average about 240.00 retail. There are often a lot of barrels for sale on Ebay and there are many aftermarket manufactures of barrels and other components such as custom stocks and forearms and other goodies. I have long been a user of the TC Contenders and have just jumped into the Encore this year. As long as you check into the cost of adding the other barrels so you are not supprised by the cost, I would say jump in. I don't think you would be disappointed. I am going to be looking for a 7mm-08 pistol barrel and a 260 rifle barrel as well as the 50 caliber muzzle loader barrel. The one I bought has a wood stock and came with a 45-70 barrel. I wany the synthetic stock for beating around in the truck and the brush. I may look around on the after season sales at gun shops and just pick up another Encore with the synthetic stock and muzzle loader barrel. That would give me an extra reciever as well as the barrel and synthetic stock. You can get barrels up to and including the 375 H&H Mag although the recoil in that light gun might be fierce.

Good luck and good hunting.
