I don't know a whole lot about deer feeders and placement. But I do know that if you are going to put one up, you should move it around fairly often if the deer are going to be eating off of the ground from it. If a feeder stays in one spot too long, there will be a lot of defication and urination in the area where it is too concentrated, thus, causing unwanted diseases to your deer herd.
